Blackout In Lagos And Other Cities As National Grid Fails Once More

Some areas of the nation are experiencing blackouts as a result of the national grid’s recent failure.
This is to notify you that the outage you are presently experiencing is due to the system failure of the national grid, which occurred earlier today at 10:50hrs, according to a statement made by the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company on Monday via its verified Twitter account.
This has impacted the Transmission Stations in our network and caused a disruption in our customers’ access to power. Please be patient while we wait for the grid to be restored.
System failure was also reported by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc, which said that the entire South-East has been affected by the present blackout.
The declaration was made in a statement that the electricity distribution business released on Monday in Enugu and was signed by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, Head of Corporate Communications.
Eze revealed that on September 26, 2022, at 10:51 am, the system crashed.
“This has led to the loss of supply that is currently being felt throughout the network,” he said.
“As a result of this event, we are unable to serve our customers in the states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo because all of our interface TCN stations are out of stock.
“We are waiting for more information about the supply’s breakdown and restoration from the National Control Center, Osogbo,” the statement reads.
